Individual & Relationship TherapyThink deeply.
Choose deliberately.
Live more fully.
support for individuals, couples and families
I’m accepting new clients now. In person at my Oakland office or online anywhere in California.
you can function better and feel better.
Family dynamics. Relationship tension. Parenting that leaves you on edge. Burnout from work that once felt meaningful. Cycles of addiction or grief that won’t loosen their grip. Maybe you’re holding it all together (barely) and wondering what happened to your sense of purpose, connection, or clarity.
move toward repair and wholeness.
Together, we make space for healing and clarity about what matters most: in your life, your relationships, your work, and your sense of self.
It’s not about forcing yourself to change. That never works.
It’s about letting go of what no longer serves you to live more of your purpose and vision.

M.A., M.Div. (she/her) · Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #150662) · Employed by Bay Area Couples Collective · Supervised by Sonja Yount, LMFT #51206
I’m a relational therapist with a Master of Divinity and years of experience as a chaplain and community organizer. I work with individuals, couples and families. Whether you’re rebuilding connection with a partner, finding your footing as a new parent, or untangling what you were taught about faith, I offer a space where all of you is welcome. I believe healing happens in relationship.
I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. My years working in healthcare and chaplaincy mean I’m familiar with questions of meaning, faith and belonging, whatever your tradition or understanding of the big questions in life.
I’m not here to fix you. I’m here to be with you in what’s real, to hold space for the questions that may not have quick answers, and listen for what is true beneath the noise.
Healing is possible within us, between people, among communities, and across the living systems we belong to. My work is shaped by liberation movements for racial, economic, gender and environmental justice.

I do not accept or bill insurance directly and operate as an out-of-network, self-pay practice.
However, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) upon request, which you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Check with your insurance provider regarding your specific benefits and reimbursement eligibility.

Relationship therapy (also called couples therapy) offers a space to communicate more honestly, move through conflict, and rebuild trust. I work with all types of partnerships including people navigating separation, co-parenting, or blending families. Family therapy focuses on how your family functions as a system. It’s not about blaming one person; it’s about noticing the patterns that shape your relationships and finding new ways forward together. Whether you’re navigating parenting challenges, big life transitions, or ongoing disconnection, family therapy can offer insight, tools, and support for healing across generations.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges. You can ask me for a Good Faith Estimate at any time, and you’ll receive one in writing before your first session. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Book a free 20-minute consultation by phone or video using the “Book a free consult” button, or email hello@emilywebb.co. After we talk, I’ll send you a link to my secure client portal to complete a few intake forms before our first session. In-person sessions are at my office in Oakland.

No. My divinity training means I’m comfortable with spiritual questions, not that I bring religion into therapy. I work with people of every tradition and none, and we’ll only explore faith if and when it matters to you.

Teenagers don’t need to be “fixed.” But they do need space to feel seen and heard. I offer therapy for teens navigating anxiety, identity questions, family tension, or school stress, and I work with parents, too. Together, we can improve communication, rebuild trust, and create a home environment that supports everyone’s growth.

My professional background spans behavioral health, ministry, community organizing, hospice, group facilitation, and counseling psychology.
I hold an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute, an M.Div. from Starr King School for the Ministry, and a B.S. in Sociology & Anthropology from Lewis & Clark College. I also completed graduate training in psychedelic-assisted therapies and research at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a minister, chaplain, and community organizer.
